Timeline by Events: Phase 1 - Preparation for Summer Institute -
  1. Selection of teachers by school districts in February and Early March
  2. Pre-Institute Workshop for Teachers and Counselors in late March - substitutes paid by grant
  3. Selection of students by school districts, counselors and teachers in early April
  4. Pre-Institute Workshop for Teachers, Students, Undergraduates, and Faculty in Mid-May
  Phase 2 - Summer Institute and Building Curriculum -
  1. Summer Academy- Thursday June 11th - Thursday June 18th -
    1. teachers - participation required each day - with selected evenings (overnights provided if preferred)
    2. students - on campus residence required - no free days or evenings
  2. Informal work - Making Learning Objects - mid June - mid September - with learning community core group and on-line support
  3. Workshop - Sharing Learning Objects - Friday September 21st -
    1. teachers substitutes paid by grant
    2. students - class work missed must be made up
  4. Modification of Learning Objects - October - December - with learning community core group and on-line support
  Phase 3 Curriculum Implementation and Conference Presentations -
  1. Workshop - Preconference Presentation - Friday January 11th - Trial run for LLT conference -
    1. teachers - substitutes paid by grant
    2. students - class work missed must be made up
  2. Testing Learning Objects in School - mid January - mid April
  3. LLT Conference - early March in Columbus -
    1. teachers - substitutes paid by grant - meals and transportation provided
    2. students - class work missed must be made up
  4. Workshop - Wrap up and Digital publishing; Planning for Next Grant - mid April
