-full sun to full shade
-well drained, slightly acidic, moist soil
-tolerant to less desirable conditions
-propagate from rooted stem cuttings

Aspects

-gets its name from the flaming red foliage in the fall
-handles pruning well, making it easily sheared into hedge form
