1045 Setup tents and campsite.

1130 Lunch provided by the Yankee Freedom II

1200 Discussion on upcoming snorkelling experience

1530 Return from Snorkelling

1730 Dinner: Grilled Steak and hamburgers, baked potatoes, salad, and s’mores,

1900 Walk around the moat and beach with flashlights.

2130 Sleeping

Monday 04 December

0730 Wake-up and eat breakfast, discuss snorkel for the day.

0830 Snorkel around Dry Tortugas (Victim 1: Denny Taylor, taken by the Portuguese Man-of-

war. Denny soon after struck revenge by consuming man-of-war with peanut butter and

pepper cheese.)

1000 End of snorkel; Broke down camp.

1030 Loaded up the Yankee Freedom II

1045 Took tour of Fort Jefferson.

1145 Ate lunch provided by us, peanut butter and jelly, bagels w/ cream cheese

1230 Snorkel again, (Victim 2: Erin Sams brutally injured by Man-of-war, quickly recuperates

via papain in very nice pain reliever. She chose negative on consumption of the man-of-war.)

1400 Finish snorkelling, final packing, move final bags to ship.

1445 Cast off from Dry Tortugas on the Yankee Freedom II. (Water was very rough; rocky ride

back to Key West)

1730 Arrive at Key West dock; Unload luggage and load up van

1800 Eat dinner at Conch Republic (Mostly Catch of the day sandwiches: Mahi Mahi with

fries;)

1845 Leave Conch Republic and arrive at Days Inn; Make plans for the night.

1900 Get ready to go out into town at Key West for the night.

2130 Leave and head into town to shop, hang out, and have fun.

0030 Meet up and head back to hotel and sleep.

Tuesday 05 December

0800 Breakfast at Day’s Inn

0900 t-tests and One Way ANOVA Lecture in Statistics

1030 Departed for Florida Everglades

1230 Ate lunch at the Panda House (All you can eat China Buffet)

1630 Arrive at the Everglades and set up camp

1730 Watch sunset and discuss light levels at dusk

1800 Eat dinner: Hotdogs, bratwurst, Potato and Macaroni Salad, and Pumpkin and Cherry Pie

2200 Sleep

Wednesday 06 December

0840 Departure from Everglades campsite; visited Eco-pond, Marina, Mazuric Pond, Mahogany Hammock, Pah-Hay-Oh-Kee, Pineland, Royal Palm

1240 Lunch at Royal Palm

1310 Visitor Centre and movie on the Everglades

1420 Stopped at “Robert is Here” for exotic milkshakes and fresh fruit.

1700 Arrive at the Rookery Bay Marine Research Lab

1745 Group shop at Publix

1845 Arrive back to Lab and begin dinner

1945 Eat Dinner: Mixed vegetables, fruit salad, catfish bon femme on rice bed with mushrooms, bread, and fudge cake with vanilla ice cream.

2100 Discussion of schedule for the upcoming weeks as well as research projects
