Activities That Will Help Shape My Future

In high school, I participated in various activities. I was in a science club called "S.E.E.D." (Students Explore Ecological Diversities). I played varsity soccer for 4 years. I was in Future Probelm Solving and Student Council. I coached a youth girls soccer team and I was even the prom queen my senior year. I attended a Science Institution at Hiram College in 2008. I did an anatomy internship at NEOUCOM with Asst. Professor Chris Vinyard. All of these activities helped me to choose a major because i realized I really enjoyed science and they gave me experience on the topic. I knew I wanted to be a biology major because I get excited when im involved in the subject. Although I have yet to discover what career I would like to pursue in the future, I will continue to explore fields of science until I figure out exactly what I would like to do.

Job Skills

I have obtained many transferable job skills throughout high school that will help me in college, and also in my future career. Since I coached a soccer team when I was in high school, I have the ability to lead. The anatomy internship I did my senior year taught me to work in a lab. I also work at a conference center as a service worker, which allowed me to learn skills such as how to deal with customers and take direction from others. Now being a full-time student, and a soccer player at Hiram College, I have allocated the skill of time management and teamwork.
