My Job Skills
Over the years of being in school teachers are always asking what are good transferable job skills to have and how can you develop them. To me transferable job skills are numerous skills that you have developed over the time period will you are in school. Some transferable job skills that I have are problem solving, time management, creating ideas, and computer skills. This will help me proceed my career in education.
Future Plans
I plan to stay at Hiram college to complete my teaching degree in Early Childhood Education. After I’ve gotten my teaching degree I plan on finding a job in state or out, where ever there is a good job opening. After I’ve gotten a job and is settled in the area I plan on going back to college to get my Master’s degree in teaching.
Past Experience
A number of things have helped me prepared for this career. In high school I was in a program called Teaching Academy, which is a class for students who want to become teachers. In this class I went out to different schools within the area to teach students. I would get to work with the teachers and help them make lesson plans. Sometime I would be the one making my own lesson plans and teaching it to the class. This was I very good experience because I got familiar with the methods of teaching and what are expected of teachers and what the teaching standers are.
Personal Statement
In high school I had many interest. I liked helping teachers in the classroom and I also liked helping the kids that needed the help. Another interest that I had was that I liked organizing activates that were taking place in school. These interest relates to my major because one day I plan on becoming a teacher. By me watching the teachers and observing how they teach their classes, this will help me one day when I have a class of my own. Organizing activates has helped me because when I have to make my own lesson plans and organize activates for the students and parents I will know what to do and where to start.
