My Future Career

My overall goal is to become a Certified Nurse Midwife. I plan to do this by recieving my bachelor's in nursing. After I have recieved my BSN I plan to work at University Hospital in Cleveland, OH. At University Hospital I plan to work in the OB ward so that I can gain more experience with newborns and mothers. After a year working here I will go to graduate school, attending Case Western Reserve University. While at Case I will recieve my master's in nursing and enter into their nurse-midwifery program, to become a Certified Nurse Midwife.

 Personal Statement

In high school I was involved in show choir, musical theater, national honor society, student council, and student government. Also during high school I volunteered and interned at different hospitals. My in the music department and student council and government of my school helped me to learn how to work with others and take on leadership roles, but it had nothing to do with the major that I have chosen. My internships and volunteering dealt with my major because I want to go into nursing and these activities helped me to see the inner workings of hospitals and allowed me to see that this was the career that I wanted to enter into.
