Hey all - I'm Liz Arps & I am a Senior at Hiram. I'm set to graduate in May with a degree in Biology and am hoping to pursue a Masters in Animals & Public Policy next year. Along with my passions for animal welfare, I am also very interested in the environment and the human role in global warming. This trip has already opened my eyes to how far-reaching the consequences of our energy consumption can be if we do not make a change, and a quick one at that. I am extremely grateful for this experience in order to better understand the world around me and better understand myself. To quote Denny Taylor, "Can we hope to change the world when we can't even change ourselves?"
