About Me: My name is Sarah Pavolko and I am a senior Creative Writing major at Hiram College. I am currently enrolled in the Field Biology class.
Career Goals: My long-term goal is to become an author of fiction novels. Until such a time as that is feasible, I would like to work in publishing, editing, or possibly teaching creative writing at the college level.
Program Components: This field biology class aims to prepare students to observe and participate in the environment. As a writing major, any and all information is fair game to be used in a story, poem, or nonfiction essay, so there is a great deal of potential as to what I can do with what I've learned.
Activities:
- Worked on restoration of allee, which has ties to history and literature
- Identification and removal of invasive plants--helpful general knowledge
- Use of professional articles
