Students were selected by nomination from teachers, guidance counselors and principals within their school district.
Teacher Applications
Selected School Districts on the Upper, Middle, and Lower Cuyahoga River Watershed were invited to submit the names of science teachers for partipation in the ISLS09 Academy. Teachers were contacted by the directors of the Academy and accepted before students were nominated.
Future ISLS Academies
