Crestwood's learning community consisted of five students, a high school science teacher, and a near-peer mentor. Although, they found their group facing a few difficulties, they came together as a strong community helping one another along the way.

They found themselves seeing teaching and learning science in a new way and wanted to show people this hands-on technique. A few students in the group plan on majoring in science and science education after high school.
