Science Summit on 29 April 2011

On April 29th, ISLS will be hosting its second annual Science Summit at Quaker Square in Akron. 

This year's conference theme, "Showcasing the Value of STEM Education" will display the importance of STEM in and out of the classroom for students, teachers, and local citizens.  It is amazing what a collaborative environment can do to improve the quality of learning.  This work will be displayed to conference participants in the form of a Poster Session, as well as a photography showcase (a new addition for this year's conference.  For Poster submission guidelines please see our RFP

5:30  Christine Sheppard from the American Bird Conservancy "A Bird's Eye View of the World" talking about efforts to reduce bird collisions with buildings and structures.
