The ISLS Academy's alumni teachers have been capable of obtaining grants due to their participation in the summer program. Below are the following schools in which the teachers recieved a grant:
Crestwood High School
- HP technology grant for teaching in excess of $60,000
- Dominion educational partnership grant for $9,600
- ACESS teacher grant for $500
- Martha Holden Jennings grant to educators for $2,992
Kent Roosevelt High School
- Kent Environmental Council grant for $4,950
- Earth Day Network Climate Educator grant for $500
