- Pre-Institute Workshop for Teachers and Counselors in late March - substitutes paid by grant
- Selection of students by school districts, counselors and teachers in early April
- Pre-Institute Workshop for Teachers, Students, Undergraduates, and Faculty in Mid-May

Phase 2 - Summer Institute and Building Curriculum -
- Summer Academy- Thursday June 11th - Thursday June 18th -
- teachers - participation required each day - with selected evenings (overnights provided if preferred)
- students - on campus residence required - no free days or evenings
- Informal work - Making Learning Objects - mid June - mid September - with learning community core group and on-line support
- Workshop - Sharing Learning Objects - Friday September 21st -
- teachers substitutes paid by grant
- students - class work missed must be made up
- Modification of Learning Objects - October - December - with learning community core group and on-line support
