Dan Scott and David Sporar at work FHG currently offers internships to interested students. The Service Learning Internship provides students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience in horticulture, organizational management, technology, and community engagement through service and education. The Botanical Medicine Learning Internship provides students with the opportunity to expand their knowledge and experience in the area of herbal medicine through the biochemistry of medicinal plants and the sustainable maintenance of a the Mahan historic herb garden and website. In 2004 a new internship with the Cleveland Botanical Garden was established. Interns work half the week at CBG and half the week at FHG, a benefit for both institutions and for the students.
