Stewardship Liaisons

The Stewardship Liaisons serve a very important role in the success of the Igniting Streams of Learning in Science program. ISLS incorporates the use of learning communities, which contain five high school students, one high school teacher, and one undergraduate student. The undergraduate student serves as a liaison between the teacher and the high school students, which gives the teacher an opportunity to step back and learn alongside the students. The Stewardship Liaison is trained on all the protocols before the institute and is able to answer questions and guide along learning for the community. The Stewardship Liaison also serves to communicate with the North East Ohio Regional Sewer District on the proper curricula to implement in the school districts. They take the necessary information and guide the students on how to make the proper lesson plans for their schools.
