I am a member of the Hiram Class of 2010 and a Biology Major.  I love spending my free time fishing, hiking, rock climbing, and just about anything else in the outdoors.  After this trip I suppose I can also add “traveling” to that list considering I’ve only been back in Ohio for a few weeks and I already have itchy feet.  My interests are primarily in aquatic conservation, but I also believe strongly that the first step in conservation is education so we shall see where that takes me in life.  I would like to work either independently, or with the Parks Department in some sort of biomonitoring role.  I have also entertained the idea of teaching at the university level.  However, if any opportunity in Alaska were to present itself even close to these interests I would be on the next plane heading North.  I think Frost hit my outlook on life right on the head when he wrote, “Two roads diverge in a wood and I, I took the road less traveled by, And that has made all the difference”.
